Scattered near some sort of military air base / proving ground were these portable satellite stations protected by razor-wire fences and convenient publicly accessible OFF/RUN switches with the keys left in. I get the whole American military protect the peoples from the terrorists blah blah and so forth, but really? Even in a bad movie someone would still have to pick that switch.
